Terms of service
Last updated: 1 November 2026
These terms explain how Goerrands works and what we each agree to. Please read them before you use the service.
1. About Goerrands
Goerrands is a bike delivery service in Benin City, Nigeria. By creating an account or requesting a delivery, you agree to these terms, our Refund policy, our Privacy policy and our Rider safety policy. You must be at least 18 to use Goerrands.
2. The service
We arrange for a registered rider to collect an item from the pickup address and deliver it to the receiver at the drop-off address. Goerrands assigns the rider for each order, so you cannot choose your rider. You will see the rider's name and phone number on your tracking page once one is assigned.
Delivery times shown or discussed are estimates. We do not promise a particular delivery time.
3. Your account
Give us accurate details and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used for fraud, abuse or anything unsafe.
4. Prices and payment
The price for your route is shown before you request a delivery. You pay the delivery fee online through Paystack, either when you request the delivery or later, for example when your rider arrives. The rider hands over the package only after your payment is confirmed. If payment is not made, the package is not handed over and the delivery fee is still owed. The price for an order you have already requested will not change. If a pickup or drop-off address is outside the areas we serve, we may contact you, change the price or decline the order.
5. What you can send
You may send ordinary items that a motorbike can carry safely. You may not send:
- anything illegal, stolen or counterfeit
- drugs, weapons, ammunition or explosives
- flammable, poisonous or other dangerous goods
- live animals
- large amounts of cash, or items of very high value (please ask us first)
- anything too large, heavy or unsafe for a motorbike
We may refuse, cancel or return any delivery that we believe is unlawful or unsafe.
6. Your responsibilities
- Give correct addresses and phone numbers for the pickup and the receiver, and keep both phones on.
- Pack your item securely and describe it honestly.
- Make sure someone can hand over the item at pickup and receive it at drop-off.
7. Cancellations and refunds
Our Refund policy explains when you can cancel and when you are refunded.
8. Delays, loss and damage
We take care with every delivery. As our Refund policy explains, we do not refund late deliveries and we do not pay compensation for items that are lost or damaged. We are not responsible for delays caused by things outside our control, such as traffic, weather, road conditions or security situations, or for problems caused by wrong information from the customer. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, such as lost profit or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Nigerian law that cannot be limited.
9. Riders
Riders are added to Goerrands by us and follow our Rider safety policy. Riders must not ask you for any payment beyond the price shown for your order unless you agreed to it with us. If a rider asks, please contact us.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Goerrands at any time. We may refuse or end service for anyone who abuses riders or staff, gives false information, or breaks these terms.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Goerrands after a change, you accept the new terms.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a problem, please contact us first so we can try to fix it. Any dispute we cannot settle will be dealt with by the courts of Nigeria.
