Rider safety and vetting policy
Last updated: 1 November 2026
How Goerrands keeps riders and customers safe, and what we expect from everyone.
How riders join Goerrands
- Only Goerrands can add a rider. Riders cannot sign themselves up.
- We set up each rider's account ourselves and keep a record of their name and phone number.
- Riders cannot pick jobs for themselves. Goerrands assigns every job.
What you can check
- Your tracking page shows your rider's name and phone number once a rider is assigned.
- Every order has a tracking ID and a status record, so there is a trail of who took your package.
- We can remove a rider from Goerrands at any time, for example after a complaint.
What we expect from riders
- Treat customers and receivers politely.
- Follow traffic laws and ride safely.
- Never open, tamper with or keep a package.
- Deliver only to the person named on the order.
- Never ask for payment beyond the price shown for the order, unless Goerrands agreed to it.
- Keep their phone on while on a job, and tell us straight away about accidents or problems.
Tips for customers
- Before you hand over or receive a package, check that the rider's name and phone number match your tracking page.
- Do not give a rider any money, or any information, that is not part of your order.
- Meet the rider somewhere safe and open when you can.
- If anything feels wrong, call or WhatsApp us straight away.
Keeping riders safe
- Customers must not ask riders to break traffic laws, go somewhere unsafe, or wait for an unreasonable time.
- Riders may decline a job that seems unsafe and should tell us.
- We may suspend customers who threaten or abuse riders.
